Summary
It is one thing to represent his country in the international arena, to skate with a flag on the side of his skating boots and the ever present tag at the end of his name, Victor Nikiforov of Russia. It's another thing entirely to know that there's a face and a person to the nation, with his own thoughts and wants and neuroses.
Victor has known the living manifestation of his country, in all its frigid and violent glory, for most of his competitive career.
Yuuri will meet his after making history upon the ice.
(No knowledge of Hetalia is needed to enjoy this fic, but hopefully fans of APH!Russia and Japan will like how I've written them).
