When, after a while, Hizashi still hasn’t responded, Shōta shifts a bit, unintentionally getting even closer to Hizashi and adds, “You were the one playing favourites at the sports festival.”
At last, Hizashi’s eyes snap back up and he grins, almost mischievously, “Oh, I’m definitely playing favourites.”
He licks his lips after and now it’s Shōta turn to stare at Hizashi’s lips, transfixed by the pink tongue darting out between them.

He went silent after that as you read the brochure, and then when you asked, oh so gently, if he gave it to you because it applies to him, he hesitated, shook his head, and then nodded. You nodded back and said, okay. i'm glad you feel like you can trust me. i love you, always.
