Summary
Darnell nodded, glancing over Robby like he was trying to place him in the hierarchy of important to ignorable and it could go either way. "What's this?"
"MSF FNG," Jack shot back. Whatever that meant, he sounded amused.
Darnell scoffed and looked to Robby, expression going decidedly unimpressed. "Oh, yeah? You here to find yourself? Have an adventure? Do something hard?" he asked, each question more mocking than the last.
And there was that question again, like it was haunting Robby. He stifled his instinct to bite back and kept it simple: "I'm here to help."

Sicktember Prompt 4: Pneumonia
The final straw had been when Jack bolted upright in bed at 4am, grasping at his chest with one hand and Robby’s thigh with the other.
“Can’t breathe,” he panted, and Robby had seen his eyes wide, panicked, even in the dim light of the bedroom. “Fuck- ow.”
“That’s it,” Robby hid his alarm behind his unyielding, reserved for the most difficult of patients, ‘I’m-the-attending-and-you-will-listen-to-me' voice. “We’re going in.”
“Not the Pitt,” Jack managed to moan out in-between wheezes, “not the Pitt.”
“Baby, Presbytarian is another 20 minutes away, and Shadyside is even further. God, you could be having a PE-”
“No,” Jack pleaded, “not the Pitt.”

Summary
"Generally speaking, when two people have been spending time together recreationally for months, often with little to no clothes on, it is not outside the realm of possibility that they'd be each other's plus ones to events."
(Or: the one where one drunk marriage of inconvenience leads to many, many more inconveniences.)

Summary
“It won’t be your fault, okay?” Hangman continues. “None of it. But you have to go, now. There’s no point in both of us dying.”
There’s a gentleness to his tone that before today, Phoenix would have scarcely believed him capable of. Unforgivably, she feels the anger start to ebb away, despair crawling up through her veins to take its place. “The point,” she growls through tears, “is that you’re my team. You’re my team, Bagman. I am not leaving you behind.”
Or: a year after the suicide mission, and six months after the Daggers have reunited to form their own squadron, Natasha and Jake are caught in a gas explosion.

Summary
“The Joshua Carter Center has a dedicated branch for fertility and reproductive science, with particular focus on high-risk populations and geriatric pregnancies. In fact — and you may not know this — it’s one of the highest rated fertility treatment centers in the country, with one of the highest success rates. Even in medical circles, it’s known as a bit of a Hail Mary option, and a referral here is, generally, for those patients who have hit the end of the road everywhere else.”
“And you’re…looking to refer someone in particular? Because I —”
“Yes,” she says. “Me.”
OR
Twelve years after she left without telling him, Anna Del Amico returns to Chicago and John Carter's life. Both of them are eager to catch up, but neither of them are prepared to admit that happily ever after hasn't come as easily as they'd once hoped. After hearing about the loss of Joshua, and feeling the desperation of her own failed attempts at having a child, Anna asks Carter to be her sperm donor.
This, he thinks, is a terrible idea...and yet...when has he ever let that stop him?
