Summary
In the 69th edition of the Hunger Games, Rey Niima is reaped as the female Tribute for District 5. After a chance encounter with District 2 Mentor Ben Solo, she isn't so sure she's resigned to whatever gruesome fate awaits her in the arena.
Meanwhile, Ben's loyalties begin to shift as he tries to keep Rey alive with the help of his estranged father, all while flying under President Snoke's radar and keeping up appearances of helping his own Tributes.

The first words Ben Solo ever spoke to her were “Marry me,” and his dazed, deep voice (for he had just been damn near buried under a display of fig crackers while trying to grab the last cauliflower pizza crusts from the freezer and- somehow- hitting his head on the case lip) had snatched at Rey’s guarded heart with unexpected ferocity.
Probably, some part of her acknowledged as she held a cold compress to his head, because she had always been drawn to anything and anyone whose broken parts were on full display.
