Clint Barton would be the first to admit that mornings were never his best time of day. Generally, they sucked. Only, he'd never actually ever had a morning like this before.

Summary
They’d scored themselves an undercover assignment. A gay club of all places, could you be any more cliché? But Clint was a professional, and hey, so was Coulson. Plus, the guy and his competence did things to Clint so he wasn’t going to complain if he got the chance to put his hands all over him. There were worse undercover assignments for sure.

Summary
So perletwo at tumblr took my offer to write a trope-fic and prompted me the "Phil soothes Clint's doctor phobia" trope. Here's the result! Clint has a cold and if you're sick before a mission there are rules. He's not sure he can follow them, but Phil helps him out. A shoulder to lean on, a soothing hand at his back, a reward-offering of sex once Clint gets better. You know, helpful things.

Phil feels bad about the long boring assignments where his assets have to just sit around all day long, so he gives them five minute privacy breaks every now and again to do what they like with no Phil looking over their shoulder.

Summary
Clint exercises an unlisted option in SHIELD’s benefits package.
Formal training had involved an entire section on not getting sexually involved with assets. Practice had involved a five-minute lecture on keeping assets happy and properly motivated in a high-stress environment. Handlers were encouraged to cultivate a certain ‘flexibility’ when it came to assets’ ‘personal needs’ to help compensate for the rigidity of the division’s mission requirements. With Hill’s staccato delivery and no-nonsense tone, they’d barely counted as euphemisms.
