    None of it fits.

    Mundanity is heavier than war. In battle, every breath had purpose — fight, survive, save. Now her breaths feel wasted. Too many, too empty. 

    The voice hums in her bones. Peace was never meant for you. 

    She presses her forehead to Teddy’s soft hair. “Then what was?”

    Silence stretches. Then, low and certain: Me.

     

     
    Or: In which Harriet Potter finds family and friendship and all that in between in the crooks of Klaus Mikaelson’s fingers and the hollows of his smile.

    Or, alternatively: Harri dealing with loss and loneliness. Nik dealing with insecurities. Somewhere along their time spent together, they learn through words of affirmation and acts of service that they are inevitable in all the ways that matter.
