Summary
"I want her,” another woman’s voice cut in. “Agatha!” Lilia cried out and spun on her heel, not even bothering to hide the alarmed tone in her voice.
Rio’s head jerked around, trying to discern which of the women in the crowd Lilia was gawking at. Then, Rio saw her. The curly-haired brunette stood up from her chair with a smile playing on her full lips. Even from a distance, Rio could see piercing blue eyes boring into Lilia, daring her to challenge her.
“I want her,” Agatha repeated, turning her full attention to Rio. Rio could feel the heat rising up her neck and into her cheeks as their eyes met across the room, causing her stomach to flip.
Dear god, who is she? Direct, confident and beautiful women were Rio’s weakness. And every inch of this woman radiated unflinching confidence. And holy shit, even in this horribly lifeless gray room, she was impossibly stunning. Rio felt it deep in her chest. Resisting whatever magnetism that was drawing her in was pointless. She was about to agree to whatever this woman wanted.

Summary
“You know what..” Agatha looks at her dead in the eye. “I genuinely hope you get one of your women pregnant.”
“.. What?”
“Maybe even four of them at once.” Agatha adds, almost thoughtfully. “That way you’ll be too busy working for the rest of your life to pay for child support instead of terrorizing mine.”
“Hey—no, no, don’t put that into the universe!” Rio gasps, immediately stepping back as panic fully takes over her usual composure. She reaches out on instinct and knocks against the nearest wall, which is not even wood so that does absolutely nothing to satisfy her superstitious desperation. “Absolutely not. We are not manifesting that. Not today, not ever!”

Summary
Rio stared at her quietly, slowly tapping her foot against the tiled floor. A wrinkle formed between her eyebrows from thinking about Agatha's predicament, and the lawyer sighed, waving her hand dismissively.
"Stop trying to find a solution to this. It will give you a stroke."
"Marry me," Agatha was glad she had finished her drink because she would spill it all over the bar at the words. She blinked to regain her composure, her mind scrambling for a teasing remark to fire back at Rio, but her tongue could only form one word.
"What?"
"I'm not a stranger from Craigslist, and I know probably most psychopaths would say that, but I'm not a psychopath. So, marry me."
---
Agatha learns about a clause in her mother's will that makes her unable to inherit Evanora's fortune unless she gets married by forty. While drowning her sorrows at a bar, she meets Rio, a PhD student working behind the bar to make ends meet, who proposes an insane solution to her problem. Or rather, proposes to Agatha.
Everything spirals out of control after that. -
