    After the murder of his mother and brother at sixteen, Michael Emerson begins to live out of a van, travelling the United States. In 1987, he's approached by a police officer, who tells him that his grandfather in Santa Carla, California is mysteriously murdered. After seven years, Michael finally decides to settle down in his grandfather's old home to try and solve his murder. The more he finds out, however, the more his grandfather's death feels familiar.

    Michael begins to notice a particular group of bikers around the boardwalk, who begin to wedge their way into his life.
