Summary

Summary
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…
A month has passed since Bail Organa’s declaration in the Imperial Senate and Emperor Palpatine’s explosive response. Since then, many in the known galaxy are questioning the legitimacy of the Galactic Empire and have begun flocking to the New Republic’s banner. Unrest and a desire for freedom has spread like wildfire through the galaxy, forcing the Imperial Forces under the command of Grand Moff Tarkin to use more oppressive and violent tactics to keep planetary populations in unruly systems in line.
Meanwhile, Admiral Hainall of the Third Imperial Fleet prepares to launch what many imperial loyalists are hoping to be a swift campaign to bring the Roche System back into the imperial fold. Little do the imperials know the true strength of the enemy that they will face there.
As the Empire’s focus turns toward the Roche System, Rear Admiral Breckdesca leads the New Republic’s Second Fleet into the Outer Rim to take the war to the imperial forces in the region. Summary
The Empire claimed the galaxy from the fires and confusion of the Clone Wars. As the Emperor and his apprentice Darth Vader moved to establish the Galactic Empire, they swept away almost all that was good with the Old Republic in the fires of Sith retribution. As the golden age of the Empire reigns while grinding the ashes of the Old Republic to dust beneath the heel, the Empire continues to spread its influence across the known galaxy, it seems that no one remembers the good that was the Old Republic.
But, there are those who remember. There are those who still hold to those ideals. There are those who remember that their oaths of service were sworn to the Republic, not the Empire.
A phoenix will rise from the ashes of the Old Republic. And when it does, it won’t be a Rebellion that challenges the Empire’s grip on the galaxy, but a New Republic that is ready to not only to fight, but to also govern by those ideals.

Summary
This is a technical companion to my Star Wars: New Republic in Exile series. In the five volumes that I have planned at the moment, I will be describing as much of the background or deep technical knowledge that may be different in my story from the standard Star Wars technical information out there on the old interweb thingy.
Volume One is simply technical information that applies to everyone. It will also contain some of the background information for both the New Republic and Empire that I may not explicitly state in the story. Volume Two will be the Essential Guide to Units and Vessels of the New Republic Navy and will have breakdown and descriptions of the spaceships used by the New Republic and the units who use them. Volume Three will be a Essential Guide to Units and Vehicles of the New Republic Army. Volumes Four and Five will do the same for the Empire.
All five volumes will be updated as necessary for what is going on in the series. So check back regularly for updates.
