Summary
Looking over to the open windows of the tower, the view of nothing but crowded trees that hid the taunting glowing city from afar.. the place he truly belonged to, made him let out a low, menacing hum.
With a flick of his wrist, the dark slimy vines closed the window shut – the darkness enveloping them. Just a fleeting sight of light seeped through the cracks from above, falling down to the little boy's fluttering amber eyes.
Vecna – or Henry, slowly clasped his hands behind his back, staring down at him.
"You and I, we are going to do such beautiful things together, William."
Yet somewhere beyond Vecna's reach, an oathless paladin unawarely moved through The March and searched something he could believe in – a devotion with no name - and it was going to collide paths with him, waiting for him in a tower that was built through shadows no spell could find..
For his fate was already bound to the blessed cleric that the world once thought they lost.

One second Jason is across from him, lounging against the wall; the next, he’s leaning in, closing the distance between them. And then the warmth is back, blooming across Leo’s face, and he’s worried he’s going to start a fire. His eyes subconsciously slide shut. He registers a soft pressure on his cheek, Jason’s hand, and Leo is certain that his face must be burning.
Jason sits back before he’s set aflame, though, and a smile flickers on his face. Leo’s lips tingle. Jason’s hand is still on his cheek. Without thinking, Leo darts his tongue out to lick his lips. Cherry.

There was another pause before a strangled sob cut the air. "I'm alive," Mike managed.
"Are you crying?"
"What- no!" Mike bit back angrily, furiously trying to scrub the tears off his face with the back of his hand. Max started to scoot under the stall again, this time ignoring Mike's protest. "The floor's gross, dude," he mumbled, trying to shield his face inadvertently.
"Yeah, well, I don't care. I already have a bunch of bullshit all over me, so," she glanced at his face. She could tell he’d definitely been crying. His eyes were glossed over and red, and he was still making his sad attempt to cover his face. “Talk to me, Wheeler.”
“I- ugh, I don’t know. You and Lucas have something good. And I have it too, I mean, I have El, and I’m happy with that, I like her, but...” He stopped quickly before he said something he would really regret. He knew that for a moment he had looked surprised at his own words, and all he could do was hope that Max hadn’t picked up on it. “No, nevermind. It’s stupid. I’m fine.”
