“Então é como um tamagotchi?”
“Um o quê?” Ela pergunta.
“É um brinquedo desse tamanho”, Gojo começa a explicar, ficando ereto novamente enquanto usa as mãos para gesticular. “Você cuida desse bichinho virtual apertando os botões para dar comida e carinho, se não ele morre. Então você o leva para todo lugar como um chaveiro para poder tomar conta o tempo todo, enquanto isso fica fazendo esses barulhinhos te avisando para dar atenção a ele.”
“Nunca ouvi falar falar” responde Tsumiki.
“É porque é velho, assim como Gojo.”
“Ei!” Ele protesta e Megumi segura a vontade de sorrir por conseguir provocá-lo com tanta facilidade.

"Oh? And what does it do, Tsumiki-chan?”
“It makes sounds and acts like a real pet, so you need to give him love and affection to keep him happy.”
“So it’s like a tamagotchi?”
"A what?" She asks.
“It’s a toy about this size,” Gojo starts to explain, standing up straight again as he uses his hands to gesture. “You take care of this virtual pet by pressing the buttons to give it food and affection, otherwise it'll die. Then you take it everywhere like a keychain so you can take care all the time, while it keeps making these little noises warning you to pay attention to it.”
“I’ve never heard of it,” replies Tsumiki.
“That's because it's old, just like Gojo.”
"Hey!" He protests and Megumi holds back the urge to smile for being able to provoke him so easily.

Summary

The burning pain is starting to come back again. It begins in his chest this time, slightly to the right. Yuuji swallows, reaching up to press his hand against it.
So, he thinks dazedly, as the universe begins to take him apart. This is what happens when you break a Binding Vow.

“You're new,” Jisung proclaims.
Minho snorts. “Am I?”
“Well, I've never seen you here before.”
“Because you know all of their wedding guests?”
Jisung has to laugh. “I know most of Hyunjin’s side,” he says.
“Well obviously I’m a friend of Seungmin’s.”
Jisung pauses to stare, eyes narrowing with curiosity. “Yeah,” he plays along. “But you’re new.”
Minho chuckles. “You keep saying that. What does that mean?”
“I mean that you’re new. Here. Today. New. I’ve experienced this wedding over thirty times now and—” his breath hitches because he really just said that out loud, but there’s an immediate flicker in Minho’s eyes that has him exhaling with relief.
“Oh. Well.”
alternatively: In which Jisung gets stuck repeating the day when his best friend gets married, only to meet a brand new friendly face a month into the grueling experience.

That's not all. There's more left unspoken on the hill of Liam's tongue, something he sees in the blaze of Theo's look, too, as Theo runs his gaze down Liam's battered body and back up to his face. A silent agreement: but I will fight with you.
