Summary
Han Jisung's life hasn't been exciting in a while. Fortunately for him, things are about to take that fun turn he was waiting for when he comes face-to-face with seven acquaintances he hadn't expected to see again; his neighbors next door, at number 325, were once people he was very fond of.
He stares at the seven men he was invited to eat dinner with, and he has to wonder: how did this happen? How ever did they all even meet each other?
He chuckles along to a joke he was too zoned out to properly hear.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold up.” Mike feels like his brain is going to split open any moment now. He has so many questions, most of them much more pressing than what ends up coming out of his mouth, but he can’t help blurting out, “How come you’re being so nice to him and not to me?”
“Because he isn’t a jackass,” Older Mike retorts. “Oh, fu - I mean, shi - uh. I’m sorry." He looks at eleven-year-old Mike apologetically. "Excuse my language.”
Little Mike giggles. “You can say jackass.”
Older Mike smiles fondly. “Okay.” He turns back to Mike, scowling. “Jackass.”
“Why is he a jackass?” Little Mike pipes up.
“Yeah, why am I a jackass?” Mike asks indignantly. He can't help feeling like he's being ganged up on. By himself, no less.
“Do you want a list?” Older Mike growls.

“I feel like I’m going to go to hell,” Will whispered, the words barely surviving the thick, suffocating air of the Upside Down.
Mike didn’t hesitate. He stepped into Will’s space, his eyes fierce with a protective heat that defied the frost creeping over the trees. “Well, we’re already in hell, Will,” Mike said, his voice low and jagged. “So I’m going to take it for everything I can.”
He leaned in and kissed him—a desperate, defiant strike against the dark. Mike expected a flinch, a hesitation, or the familiar pull-back of Will’s internalised fear. Instead, he felt Will surge forward. Will pushed back, his hands tangling in Mike’s jacket with a strength that felt like a revolution, answering the kiss with a hunger that screamed he was done hiding. In the heart of the world’s worst nightmare, they finally found something worth waking up for.
