Summary
Angela is surprised for two reasons at the moment. One, the most glaringly obvious, is that she’s just won a gold medal. But the other is a close second; the woman holding the microphone is ridiculously gorgeous. She’s got long eyelashes that are currently fluttering sweetly at Angela, waiting for an answer. Her nose and cheeks are bright red from the below freezing temperature, her long wavy hair is half tucked under one of her many scarves. She’s enchanting.
Or: Reporter Amanda Lehan-Canto covers Italian snowboarder Angela Giarratana's debut at the Milano Cortina Olympics

Summary
Amanda follows the invisible line from the woman’s pointer finger to the tiny rodent perched about a metre away from the toes of her boots, currently nibbling on the wrinkly leaf of kale Amanda just set out for it and its companions. The prairie dog, just like Amanda, doesn’t care for the spotlight.
“This?” She points down to the prairie dog, who, as if listening in on the conversation, lets out a small yip and scampers away, leaving both Amanda and the half-eaten kale in the dust. The woman nods, pursing her lips into a contained grin when the small animal hops toward a group of its friends.
“It’s a black-tailed prairie dog."
Or: Zookeeper Amanda meets new-to-animals Angela.

Summary
Ms. Lehan, or Amanda, as she’s known to everyone except for her students, has been teaching fourth grade at a K-12 school in Santa Monica for the past thirteen years. She’s remained in her classroom at the end of the hall as countless teachers and students have come and gone, and she’d like to think that she’s seen a lot during her teaching career. She’s seen many things, but never a storm of profanities like the one being unleashed now. So, against her better judgement, Amanda peeks her head in.
“Sorry,” Amanda says quickly, “You’re not– I thought–,” she trails off, taking a closer look at the woman. She’s got thin rimmed glasses and a sparkle in her eye. Amanda makes a mental note to start a bet with Tommy on how long it will take for that sparkle to dull as she steps into the classroom.
Or: Angela Giarratana is the newest hire at the school Amanda Lehan, a jaded fourth grade teacher, has taught at for years. Suddenly, Ms. Lehan finds herself with a spring in her step when she comes to school each day.

Summary
“This might be crazy, and excuse me if I’m reading this wrong or something, but I really want to kiss you right now.”
“Sounds pretty crazy,” Amanda says, but she tucks a strand of hair behind the girl’s ear and leans in.
If you were to ask her, Amanda Lehan-Canto would vehemently deny being the type of girl who makes out with random girls at Halloween parties. In fact, she’s not the type of girl who makes out with girls at all. It’s a thought that crosses her mind as she explores further with her tongue, but only briefly.
Or: Amanda Lehan-Canto and Angela Giarratana meet (and do much more) at a Burbank Halloween party. Five years later, they've both made careers for themselves that lead them to the same blockbuster project, cast opposite each other as the two doomed lovers.

Summary
The rest of practice goes well for Angela. She ends up scoring another goal as well as an assist, and ends their cool-down stretch feeling somewhat hopeful about the upcoming season. That is, until Amanda passes her on the way to the locker room, ripping off her goalie gloves and muttering something about such a big ego for such a small person.
Not sure if she’s still in earshot, Angela mutters back, “Asshole.”
Or: Amanda Lehan is captain of the UCLA Bruins Soccer team, Angela Giarratana is their newest five star recruit.

Summary
Is it the best plan in the world? No. But Clark's nine. He's got a decent few years left before anyone expects his plans to be, like, actually good. All this plan has to do is work.
--
Clark loves his mom, but he's always been curious about where he came from. When Supergirl appears on the news, he becomes convinced that, because of their shared powers, she must be his biological mother. But it's not like he can just call her up on the phone and ask to meet. Nope. Supergirl only shows up when someone needs saving... So, Clark's best idea is to dangle himself off the side of the L-Corp tower and wait.
And then Kara shows up and meets the cousin she believed dead and the love of her life, all in one fell swoop.
