Mira looked hungry, so Celine fed her.
There are a few reasons for this. She’d been rather insistent that she needed the manilla envelope sitting on her desk in her office, needed it delivered as soon as possible to the apartment she keeps in Seoul for the days she spends in Sunlight Entertainment HQ, and it had to be one of Huntrix to bring it to her. It just so happens to have been Mira who answered.
Mostly, though, Celine feeds her because she aches for the days when all her decisions were so simple.
It's hard to see yourself reflected in a younger generation. It's harder to tell long-buried secrets-
-especially what happened on the day Rumi was born.

Summary
A daemon is the representation of one’s soul. Rumi can hide and lie all she wants, but she cannot outrun the truth that is Eunwoo.
Rumi used to try and look at the upsides, that Eunwoo had settled the way they did to be a better hunter, to be stronger against the demons.
Tigers are one of the few animals who hunt humans too.
Zoey told her that fact excitedly after the first hunt that Eunwoo helped with. There was no suspicion behind it, no malice. Zoey would never. It was said as one of at least twenty tiger facts the younger girl had listed off over her bowl of fish cake soup.
Rumi has never forgotten.
When Eunwoo blends into the shadows, when they tread softly, trailing behind Mira and Zoey, she wonders. When Byeol or Jun get near and Eunwoo seems to bask in their presence, she wonders. When Eunwoo has their bright gaze pinned on Seung and Celine, tracking every move the pair makes, Rumi cannot help but wonder if Eunwoo is eyeing the souls as a future meal.
Eunwoo is a hunter.

Summary
One moment, everything is perfect. The crowd is going wild singing along to "Golden" like it's the only thing keeping them tethered to here and now. Rumi, Mira and Zoey are in their final pose smiling wide when they see it.
Before Rumi can say something, the edges of her patterns start to burn. It's subtle at first, easy to ignore in the exhaustion of performing and something like happiness bubbling up, but it gets worse. The pain sears into her, cutting off everything else.
Maybe this is what it feels like to lose them, she thinks desperately. Maybe the Honmoon is burning them off, or maybe-

It just didn't feel right—didn't feel like she meant it enough. Her mind kept drifting restlessly and she couldn't focus on the words, on what she wanted them to mean.
She took an unsteady breath and started again.
Rumi has lived with rules all her life, rules that only apply to her and don't make sense to anyone else, so it isn't weird that she keeps developing more.
