“I can help, if you wanna call it that,” Sal says, letting his fangs drop. “What's your name?”
“Tommy.” His fingers move from Sal’s cheek to his mouth, his thumb brushing Sal’s fang. “Huh.”
“Let me,” Sal begs. He can't watch the life under him slip away. It's like a voice at the back of his head is screaming for him to just rip open his own vein and let the change take hold. “I'm Sal.”
Tommy draws in a pained breath, cries out, and tears leak from his eyes. Sal waits, reaches up to squeeze his hand.
“I can help,” he repeats softly.
And Tommy blinks at him and nods.

Rozanov cocked his head. “You speak Russian? Or just the curse words?”
“Yes, I speak Russian,” he snapped, defensive and angry. He knew that it had been a mistake to even try to be friendly with Rozanov. “Why? Do I not look Russian to you?” He scoffed.
“No, not really,” Rozanov said. Some of his teammates laughed, although they mostly looked surprised that Shane was speaking to them at all. Rozanov didn’t laugh, though. “Are you Russian?”
“Go fuck yourself.”

Despite an inauspicious start, when Russia’s Ilya Rozanov learns that Canada’s Shane Hollander is fluent in Russian at their first World Junior Championships tournament, it changes everything and sets them on a different course. Yor smiles innocently down at him. “I’m the one who’s supposed to be taking care of you this time, aren’t I?”
Loid only swallows in response. Yor observes the subtle bob of his Adam’s apple before leaning down to kiss his throat, working her way to the base of his neck and biting a little at the sensitive skin there. Loid’s wrists twitch in her grip and he whimpers, tilting his head back.
Yor only holds him down harder, trailing open-mouthed kisses up his throat until she reaches his jawline—then stops there, lips teasingly brushing the spot right beneath his ear. “Are you going to be good for me, Loid?”
aka, Yor wants to try something new in bed but doesn't know how Loid will respond to it. (Spoiler: He responds very, very well.)
