Nam-gyu had started zooming into the background of his posts. He’d lie back against his bed late picking apart every inch of the photos compulsively. Bottles on marble striped tables. Who stood closest beside Thanos. Whoever touched on him.
The way some girl would snake a hand over his shoulder for a picture or lean her head against him with some sultry fucking look on her face only made it worse. It never stopped at the original post either.
Couple taps later, Nam-gyu would already find himself buried somewhere inside another tagged account scrolling through more pictures from the same night. Of course their profiles were public.
Half these girls practically lived off being watched online, anyway.
Attention whores would hang off whichever influencer. He zoomed into pictures where her manicured nails rested against Su-bong’s chest, where lipstick marks stained the rim of a cup sitting near him.
Sometimes he caught himself studying the girls more than the rapper himself before a churning disgust overtook.
Who fucking cared, anyway?

Summary
Namgyu’s life before the collapse of the world was far from pretty. He had worked at a shady club in the city for years. A well-known club, where nights bled together into flashing lights and thundering bass. More often than not, it entailed a bit of illegal business under the table. Namgyu was usually too blitzed to pay attention to the dolts he sold to, but one person never failed to catch his eye.
Thanos was a local sensation, a legend in his own words. He’d been a regular at Club Pentagon, pulling in crowds and booking VIP tables left and right. He rapped about coke and pussy and dough, but Namgyu knew him beyond that. Namgyu knew his favorite strain of weed, what music he played in his car, how his lips tasted under the burn of liquor. Seeing him in the sunlight was… disconcerting, in a way. Thanos, larger than life itself, reduced to prey, just like the rest of them.

.Nam-gyu buys a "book" while high out of his mind and ends up making a "deal with the devil" aka a conventionally attractive purple demon wearing a skin-tight body suit that doesn't leave much to the imagination. He quickly learns the consequences of his actions, though he is not as upset about it as he should be.
As the months pass and their relationship develops, both face the harsh reality of their situation. Thanos was here to provide Nam-gyu with sex, supposed to have no strings attached. But now, hundreds of small strings are holding them together, pulling them impossibly closer in a way that could lead them both to certain death.
