Summary
After revealing he is Mecha Man, Robert Robertson loses the respect and trust of the Z-Team. When Shroud abducts the team, he gives Robert an ultimatum: surrender the Pulse or let the team die. With a one-week deadline, Robert pitches an idea. If the suit is too powerful for the Pulse, then there was only one solution: make the suit smaller. Armed with a new suit, Robert tackles Shroud's challenge head-on and with a greater risk of physical injury from the smaller suit.
But heroes get hurt. Robert is Mecha Man, more so now than ever.
And Robert won't let his team down again.

Or: I have a headcanon that since the Mecha Man suit is too powerful for the Pulse, then they should make it smaller to reserve power.

Summary
Robert hates every decision that brought him here.
Unceremoniously put in charge of leading his own team of supervillains, and he's not got the first clue on how to make the z-team a success but he's going to fight like hell for them cause he's all in.
---
Flambaé didn't know what to expect when his team got a new dispatcher with the worlds most ridiculous name but it certainly wasn't this.
Flambaé loves every decision that brought Robert here

Summary
The man was in a suit that almost reminded Robert of something from Cirque du Soleil, all skin-tight, shimmering fabric with bursts of red and orange and a V-neck that showed a lot more than neck. The wrap-around sunglasses didn’t even look that ridiculous.
Infuriatingly, he managed to be beautiful, like a Monet in an Ikea frame is beautiful. He had changed very little in the years since Robert first encountered him, at least physically. Robert couldn’t say the same.
