Summary
Even at the slow pace they were going, the old wooden bedframe swayed slightly. The minute movement was enough to cause the floorboards to creak quietly—but not quietly enough. Anyone who passed by would be able to tell what was happening.
And that was something they were all too aware of.
Just like the campers, the counselors also had rules. “No sex” was the biggest one, strictly reinforced by the owner. The penalty for being caught was an immediate firing and the consequential walk of shame.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, that wasn’t enough to stop Mizi and Sua from breaking this rule frequently.

The dog collar shone in her grasp. Linked below was a golden tag, and etched into its surface was–
Mizi blinked, her ears growing warm as her jaw went slack.
No, it couldn’t be.
Surely she was mistaken. Surely, it was the perfume making her see things. There was no other reasonable explanation for what she thought she saw.
Mizi checked again, her eyes roaming over the same five letters until the letters bled together and her head grew woozy.
Puppy.
Mizi inhaled sharply, and it was then that a waft of vanilla rose up from the collar and circled Mizi like a cobra who had found its prey. It was almost ironic how sweet it smelled, when what she held in her hands was anything but.
The perfume still stuffed in her pocket seemed to have grown heavier, and Mizi was all of a sudden very aware of its presence.
Then, the computer beeped softly, and before Mizi could react, the video on screen began to play.

Summary
Even among a group of scorned and broken flowers, Mizuki was the odd one out.
Set in an AU with some magic. In this universe, Mizuki never met the rest of Niigo in middle school, faltering against bullying and societal hatred as a result. They didn't gain the courage to be HER again in high school. It's only after graduating, full of regrets with no hope or desire for the future, that Mizuki finally gains the courage to start transitioning and become the person she's meant to be.
Unfortunately, their newfound resolve to pursue their true self again is already falling apart as they struggle to overcome their insecurities and navigate a world ruled by strict gendered norms and heteronormative standards.
