"I got something for you," Abbot says without looking up from the track board.
There would be nothing special about what he said if it came out of anyone else's mouth, but if Abbot took anything away from the army, it was a love of code words. The stethoscope around Robby's neck is suddenly a chokehold, and he does his best to suppress the smirk that's undoubtedly on his face.
"Yeah? Should I be expecting a pain in the ass sign-out?"
After a rough night shift, Abbot needs to blow off some steam, and Robby knows exactly how to help. Nowhere has a better sign-out culture than Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center.

Usually, they’re passing each other like ships in the night, setting up shop at different ports. Then there are days like this, where everything lines up, and they really get to take their time and shed the stress of the last few weeks.
Robby's been working on letting himself have things. His therapist has been insistent that it's not selfish and that the people in his life may actually want to help him meet his needs. Robby's still not sure that's true.
