Summary
Foggy swallows his nerves. “Who are you?”
A grumbly chuckle matches the voice's whisper. Whoever this person is tilts his head, like he’s impressed by the show of bravery. Foggy feels lucky the man can’t hear his heart pounding.
The stranger doesn’t answer.
“Do you live in the town of Salem?” He asks instead.
Foggy furrows his brows, not following.
“...Yes?”
The red cloak begins to move as the man takes a step, then another, slowly circling him. It’s unnervingly silent. The blond keeps his eyes trained on the shadow where a face should be.------
Witch trials AU! Foggy is a puritan living in Salem, Massachusetts in 1692. He meets a stranger in the woods one night who may or may not be a gay witch.

Summary
A great sigh heaves out of the blonds lungs. He’s not a morning person in any sense of the word, eyes red rimmed and brain cursing the very idea of an 8 am class.
Matt still has him beat in every conceivable way.
For a while, Foggy sort of understood why the Therian is so upset in the morning. Owls are nocturnal creatures after all. But he never really got it. Not until he saw Matt nodding off during lectures, hearing the way the university refused to provide night classes to the sole student who needs them. Not until he realized Matt still drinks coffee by the gallon, despite it totally wrecking his digestive system.
Everything about morning time is completely against his boyfriends brain.-----

“Do you need anything?” He asks, trying to keep the anger out of his voice. “It smells like you finished your bag of chips.”
Again, his roommate doesn’t respond. A tremor starts to work its way into Foggy’s hands.
He takes a shaky breath.
“Matt?”
The brunette tilts his head.
“I’m… I don’t think I’m okay.”
The air suddenly seems thin. Or at least it sounds that way, Foggy’s lungs starting to speed up. Matt sits down on the bed and gently touches his best friend's shoulder.
“Foggy?”
“I think I’m dying.”-----
Foggy smokes a little bit too much one night.

Summary
Matt feels his greasy hair on his head. The shape pressed flat from the couch he’s spent the last three days on, tossing and turning but never really falling asleep. He can’t.
Everytime he closes his eyes, it hits him all over again.
His stomach is like a beast trying to growl its way out of him. Dishes from the last meal he ate, organic oatmeal like every morning at the firm, mold in the kitchen sink. The numb buzzing in his head mutes any pain in his body.
It still doesn’t touch his heart. Nothing is that merciful.-----
Matt listened to Foggy die. That doesn't mean he's done looking out for him.

Something scrapes the asphalt in the alleyway. Suddenly, a low growl comes from behind him.
All the thoughts he might have had come crashing to a halt. Foggy yelps, dropping the bags, trash spilling out across the floor. His eyes widen with the realization of how alone he is, his family gone home.
The growl gets closer. Now right behind him.
Every muscle in his body is tense, every brain cell screaming at him to run, to hide, but for the love of god, don’t turn around. Don’t look.
