    FUCKKKKKKK. I finished this within 48 hrs. honestly when I started this, I was very excited. the tags called to me and I had just finished Dao of Salted Fish(DSF) so my expectations were high and bafflinghaze DID NOT disappoint. fuck. I couldn't put this down and the characters were in my mind any second I dropped my phone. the world, fief and kingdom building was so amazing and I was ENRAPTURED. (Lord please grant Yangyang a break(Riri too)) the side characters, I loved and the side ships. THE SIDE SHIPS. Pollux and Hadrian I didn't expect to LOVE so much,(Lord do I love them) and fucking hell Aurelia and Iris??? YES. Florence dating a butch lesbian was soo so freaking amazing. Maria and Kel's getting together is a story for the books(😭😭😭 Lord did i laugh) and the urge to see how all these characters look makes me itch.

    the only person I'd say I wasn't the biggest fan of is Alexius(LOL, sorry not sorry) but maybe it's cause I'm the youngest and he annoys me😭😭 but even still, his bickering with Rian was MWAH. I absolutely love how we were told/shown the wrap up of all the real side-side characters and Cassiopeia growth and redemption?? YES(lowkey sad she got together with Alexius 💔)

    it made me soo so happy how magic was used for a complete revolutionisation in the trans medical field and how same-sex couples could have children. YES(if only :/) and showing the first two patients Cassiopeia had?? I loved loved

    this story just had everything I wanted and Riri and Yangyang's love story and life is something I'm never going to forget. fuck do I want a love like theirs. the first time they argued, my heart couldn't take it LOL but it showed it happens to the best and how we handle it is what matters.

    fuck I'm actually in love with this story and world. honestly speaking, this may be my best read (original novel wise) since MDZS & TGCF.. thank you so so much bafflinghaze for writing this. I'm so happy I found this work just after it had finished. if I had to wait for updates I'd have diedddddd(LOL) I absolutely can't wait for what next you'll put out and I'm gonna be supporting it. I had such an amazing time and I hope Riri, Yangyang & Co. live a fulfilling happily ever after. thank you once more author-nim.

    (fun fact: despite having never read The Trash of the Count's Family, I thought of it so much while reading this (LOL))

    (I'm gonna go cry and stare at a wall because Lord knows I'm gonna be directionless and lost after this LOL the epilogue showing the passing of time made me so sad and nostalgic especially the last extra. I nearly cried HA)
