Summary
Rin is missing, whether dead or alive, buried or burned, he is missing. When the call comes, Sae Itoshi is too deep in the world of football to care about anything else and certainly not the fate of a brother he cut ties with long ago. But the voice on the other end isn't offering condolences or updates on a game score. It's the police, telling him that Rin Itoshi has been missing for 48 hours.
Dragging the prodigy from Madrid's stadium to Tokyo police station. Brought here by the same person he had abandoned and as the search for Rin intensifies, a dire realization takes place that something far more sinister is at play. No amount of fame, glory, or stadium lights can save someone who is willing to drown. And Sae is forced to confront the one thing he's spent his entire life denying: the price of disowning blood... can only be paid in blood.
OR: Maybe, just maybe, he's been looking in the wrong direction all along, chasing something that would never give him peace. Maybe it was never Rin who was gone. Maybe it was him all this time.
"I thought I could walk away without looking back. Now I'm not sure which of us is lost."

Summary
休戦 (kyūsen): meaning cease-fire, truce, armistice
The match versus Japan’s under-twenty was now nothing more than bittersweet history. Now on a mandated two-week break, Rin finds himself in a strange period, not unlike an intermission. Already out of sorts, Rin must grapple with setbacks arising before his progress can truly begin. Outside of soccer, Rin now existed in a vulnerable state like a raw wound. What could Rin do when those in his immediate family started acting so strangely? What was he to do when a rare moment of joy backfired so spectacularly? Things were truly starting to progress for Rin, if an unpredictable spiralling could be labelled as such…
After all, HE was home.
(Or: the author got a glimpse of the Itoshi parents and decided to go all-out with theorising on family dynamics. More of a character and relationship study with a side of plot. Enjoy!)

Summary
He felt a hand grab his. A hand he knows. A hand that used to ruffle his hair. Firmly now holding his hand and squeezing.
"Rin, breathe. It's going to be ok"
A voice he can never forget. Rin could feel the voice rippling through the darkness. Firm. Almost authoritive. That inner child in him, the one he spent days on end trying to bury, easily took over and obeyed, and before Rin could realise he found himself taking one deep breath after the other, and before he could stop the stupid child he whispered
" Niichan... I can't.. see"
Or
Rin gets injured in a game. It causes him temporary blindness. Sae throws all his resolve to be away from his brother out the window -

Summary
'....I wanted to play football with you. I don't know why you said what you said that night. I hated you for it, I hated football, and I hated our parents for always putting you first, but I want to go as the person I was before that night. Someone who loved football because it was something he loved sharing with his brother.
Someone who loves his family.
I do.
I truly do love you.
I hope you become the best, whether it's as a striker or a midfielder. I hope you find in Isagi the brother and striker you hoped for.
Goodbye, Niichan'
