Summary
Viktor is an ancient Fae deity who has been protecting Jayce's family for generations. With the death of Jayce’s grandma, he has been chosen to be the next Devotee to Viktor, bringing a weekly care package of mysterious goods to the antique shop the Fae resides in downtown. Viktor’s shop is never open, his mom says, and he never answers the door. But the first day Jayce comes to drop off the goods, he is invited inside.

He’s surprised at the sort of unmitigated joy it brings him, like turning on the lights and finding yourself home after a long time away.
