Junhui's life gets kind of complicated after one little bite.
Junhui tries again when they're up by one point with 30 seconds left. "Do you want to hang out after this?"
Minghao looks at Junhui for a moment. "Are we or are we not all going to the diner after this?"
"Oh, yeah," Junhui says, and now he's just embarrassing himself. Attempt #483 of asking Minghao out, a failure. They all have been. Junhui's been doing it since he was a sophomore in high school and now he's a junior in college. You'd think the pendulum would have swung in Junhui's favor by now.

Jisoo takes a deep sniff of his shirt collar, honey brown eyes going big and slanted.
“You’re stressed. What’s wrong?”
“Nothing. I stayed up late last night.”
“I can tell you’re lying,” Jisoo sing-songs, lacing their fingers together.
One of the by-products of having supernatural friends whilst remaining decidedly, fallibly, human, is this. They can hear every twitch of Wonwoo’s nose, every nudge of his glasses, and notably, the blip in his heartbeat when he’s trying to keep things from them.
It makes Wonwoo’s life ten times more difficult, because lying is his bread and butter. Not for shady reasons. There’s just a lot he keeps close to the chest.
