"Aw man," Yuuji says, and he can feel the tears pricking at the corners of his eyes again. "If we weren't about to go on a suicide mission, I'd… I'd probably try to kiss you right now."
Megumi stops breathing for a second. His grip tightens until it hurts. He looks at Yuuji, eyes wide, caught between panic and something that looks a whole lot like hope.
"Yeah," he says, his voice barely a whisper. "I'd probably let you."

It soaks through his jacket in an instant, agony as the cold stabs into every pore, making his muscles go rigid. His fingers close over the dark shape in the water, and with all his strength, Kirishima yanks Bakugou’s parka up and pulls him from the lake’s surface in one singular motion.
Well, he's gotten him out of the lake.

Gojo’s hand has shot out to grab his face, tilting his head this way and that, examining him from every angle with those eyes that glitter like shattered glass even without a ray of sun to catch in them.
“You haven’t been sleeping.”
“You’re one to talk,” Geto says, failing to wrestle a derisive chuckle from his voice. “When was the last time you got more than four hours?”
“Deflecting. Come on, you think I can’t see these dark circles?” He prods at one. “You look like hell, Suguru.”
Geto crosses Gojo's path on a bad day for both of them. They're all bad days lately. Somehow, though, being together again — even if one of them has a raging migraine and the other is seething with doubt and guilt and anger — makes this particular day a little less miserable.
