He didn’t so much as flinch when I brushed the hair off his forehead, bringing the thermometer up to check his temperature.
“Where did you come from?”
I dropped my hands from his face as soon as I got my reading, those dark eyes following my every move.
“We come from nowhere.”
“Is that the truth?"
“We have no reason to lie doctor.”
“I’m not sure I believe that.”
“You deem us untrustworthy?”
“Simply that you may have reason to not want to disclose more information to me than necessary.”
“Do you trust them?”
His eyes moved from mine to stare over my shoulder before leisurely shifting back to mine.
“From the outside it seems as if you’re bound by the same chains we are. Invisible they may be, but the less freedom they grant you.”
“You’re wrong.”
His head tilted, but his gaze never wavered.
“Are we? At least with our shackles we know where we stand. Can you say the same?”
The quiet clink of the table beneath him caught my attention. The straps over his body pulled taut with the way he flexed against them. He flipped his hand over, palm side up, as if it were an invitation for me to take.

You never dared to dream it was all a ruse and that all 8 men would really be there, with the actual task of making a video where they each get a chance to earn your affection and try to become your bias, bringing out their competitive spirits. But chaos ensues when Wooyoung kisses you, Seonghwa gives you a gift, Yunho turns the heat up, and Hongjoong invites you back to their hotel.

As vampires have become more sophisticated and more humane, vampire slayers have backed off. They only target vampires who become a problem. In fact many slayers have befriended many vampires over the last few centuries. These friendships help both sides, because vampires are more than happy to assist slayers when a rogue vampire is threatening their existence.
A problem vampire is why you find yourself in the city of Halazia. A particularly difficult vampire has caused a problem for the Society of Slayers (SoS). Several slayers have tried their hand at tracking this vampire only to come up short or wind up dead. So, the SoS has sent its most talented, and most feared, slayer.
