Summary
Maxwell snarls, his upper lip curling, and Longspot’s scent shifts, the ash becoming acrid. His eyes flare wide, and he takes a full step back. Maxwell is reminded of the boy at school, how he’d been so eager to throw the first punch, and then scrambled away as soon as Maxwell bloodied his teeth, shouting for help with tears in his eyes.
Then Longspot straightens, rolling his shoulders back. “Well,” he says, and Maxwell can taste the disdain in his voice now, where before he could only hear it. “It took you long enough.”
And that is all Longspot Gotch ever says on the subject of his youngest son being an omega.

“That won’t be necessary. I’m sure you're a very diligent student.” Yuuichi interrupts quickly. “All I wanted to say was that I think that’s where your attentions should lie right now. All of them.” Only then does he take the folder. “Something can be arranged where no longer be necessary for you to write these reports. If father returns he won't have to know."
That ‘if’ was getting larger and larger each day. The heart attack was taking more of a toll than expected.
But the feelings at his father’s condition were completely overtaken at the rage for his brother.
How dare he? A tactless comment was one thing, but this? Purposefully trying to oust Kyoyo from the company when he already has to work so much harder to just get his foot in the door?
If Yuuichi was going to attempt to sabotage him, he’d need to be more clever than that.
OR- Kyoyo's older brother moves in after their father has a heart attack and tries to fix things with the family. Kyoyo doesn't take the change well.
