Summary
Ruling a province, hiding his venin state; there's a lot on Xaden's shoulders. Not least that he no longer trusts himself to be with Violet. Her signet is suffering as a result, so as she scours for a cure for him, Xaden plans to ensure all her needs are met, even if he has to use a certain wingleader.
Dain isn't as in control as he wants people to believe. As he seeks to win back Violet's trust, he instead finds connection with another isolated group. He becomes dedicated to the Fliers, especially a certain princess helping him train his signet, but will the secrets he's pulled into shatter the fragile peace he's found?
Cat hides scars from a past life at court, some she doesn't fully understand herself. She has duties as a noble, but also seeks to prove the worth of the Fliers in a place dominated by Riders. What she didn't plan on, was catching feelings for one in the process.

My brain forgets how to function. My lungs forget how to breathe.
