She was, in some way.
A crime against decorum, against reason, and against her own composure, which had been hanging by a thread for quite some time.
She had an open book in front of her in case someone walked in, a pathetic attempt at pretending. But what she actually held in her hands was a crumpled sheet of paper, folded a thousand times, as if every written line burned her fingers.
The heading had been written in trembling ink:
“All the Ways I Want Ruby (And Other Dangerous Thoughts)”
or Belle writes a very explicit list she never meant anyone to see (especially Ruby) and everything spirals completely out of control.
