"I am sorry, you are what?" Hermann cannot help but stand in the middle of the BioSCi lab like an idiot, staring at Newton. All he wanted was to get a clarification on the latest batch of data from the last harvested samples as they seem to have been put in wrong, probably by Newton's new assistant, and instead he was confronted with this at 7:36 in the morning.
"I'm getting moved back to Lima, what else do you want me to say?"

After Newton gets reassigned to Lima, him and Hermann both try to request relocation the proper, truthful way. However, once Hermann learns the whole Tokyo Shatterdome apparently thinks they are a couple he just... Doesn't correct any assumptions. But then, neither does Newton, who was copied into all the email communication. -

He sits collapsed on the floor, panic taking over him, his ribcage constricting. He knows that pain, has felt it for days after the drift.
There are no Precursors in his head.
He stands up, gently, slowly, using the wall to support his weight at least slightly, keeping it off his bad hip. He finds the cane and stumbles through the bathroom door. The light blinds him after he hits the switch on.
From the small dirty mirror, a beloved face of Herman Gottlieb stares back at Newt.
