Epimetheus felt bad for lying to Heron, he hoped the young boy would understand. He wasn't sure if he completely believed everything Konrad told him. Malcador was certain if The Emperor left the Golden Throne he wouldn't be the same person as he had been before.
Malcador made it clear what they would have to do (he still wasn't sure how they would manage to get through the Custodies). Put him back on the Golden Throne. The Emperor couldn't be allowed to leave the Golden Throne. Epimetheus hoped his Father wouldn't be too angry with him
