Bertolt's been dead for a while. It's fine. Better than being crushed to paste between a titan's teeth anyway, which is the last thing he remembers. But an inconvenient awakening in the Paths during the Rumbling and the sight of a certain someone in the distance make him think that it might be worth trying to be alive again. Ugh, he's only been back from the dead for thirty seconds and he's ALREADY crying.
It’s four years later, and everything is different.
