“Not true,” Jisung says with a laugh. It’s the flustered kind. Minho can see it, painted onto the back of his eyelids when he blinks. “You waited. Isn’t that how this…” he pauses for effect, emphasising the words left unsaid, the kind of words Jisung uses when he’s feeling particularly romantic (which is, of course, all the time. Minho’s boy has a diet built on sweet treats and romance)—we, us, our relationship, our love, our star-crossed story—“…lasted?”

“What about you, Innie? Got any trips planned?” Hyunjin turned his focus to the youngest at the disgusted sounds he made. “It’s about time you get a partner, or just get laid for christ’s sake. Either is fine.”
“Uhm, first of all, it’s only May. Maybe I will do something for Christmas this year, I don’t know. And secondly, I have plenty of sex, thank you very much.”
“With who? Your right hand? Or are you a lefty?” Seungmin’s insult was instant, and it had Hyunjin cackling loudly and slapping his thigh.
“You know? I hate you. I don’t know why I was ever friends with you.” Jeongin’s head hit his desk with a dull thunk.
(OR Jeongin works at Changbin & Minho's law firm as a filing clerk. Chan gets hired as an in-house interpreter/translator. Jeongin is down bad while the entire firm makes a bet on whether Chan is a top or a bottom. They all live in Ohio?)
