There’s no point in delaying the inevitable, so Felix takes Sylvain’s free hand into his, and tries to commit the feeling to memory. “You say that you’ll love me no matter what.” He says after a moment, tracing the lines of Sylvain’s palm. “But what happens if we end up fighting each other?”
Sylvain lifts Felix’s hand and gently kisses it.
“Even then, I’d find a way.”

Akechi’s heart stops for a moment, and for a second he thinks that Kurusu Akira might actually be the death of him. Never in his life has he had the desire to understand someone as much as he does with Akira. The same Akira who is the head of the Phantom Thieves; the same Akira who he has publicly stated as his number one enemy; the same Akira who sends him stupid messages and makes him laugh over the most ridiculous things.
It’s pathetic how one person has managed to affect him this much, but as he stares at Akira, at his messy hair and glasses that he doesn’t need; at the gentle curves of his face and the simple beauty of his smile, Akechi can’t help but think that he was doomed from the moment they met.
