He tells himself Chance is just… convenient. A new person. A distraction. Someone who doesn’t come with years of complicated history, someone who doesn’t make Will feel like he’s standing in the shadow of someone else’s love story.
He tells himself it would be nice to have something uncomplicated. Then he thinks about Chance’s voice in art class. About the way Chance said, you make it look like it matters.
