Summary
And there it is. Proof that Wooyoung never really left, even if he should have. Even though he had every reason to. Maybe now, they can leave together.
——OR—-
Hongjoong becomes immersed in small town life when he goes off to university. The people he meets change him for the better and become patches in the quilt that form his young-adult life. When he falls in love with a local, he’s forced to face the cruelty of the world and the demons of his past.
He meets Wooyoung, a bright light among the dark, who brings a future of possibilities, an opportunity for something better. The question is, will Hongjoong take it?

Summary
San needed a life raft. Everywhere he went lately, he felt like he was drowning. The weight of his thoughts and feelings was sinking him and he’d picked Wooyoung to keep him afloat. In his inebriation, something had slipped free and he’d lock it back up later. All he wanted now was to hold Wooyoung, to take in his familiar scent and wade in all the memories it uncovered–close and quiet moments between the two of them that had been collected over the past year. His head lazily pressed into Wooyoung’s as he gently swayed their bodies back and forth.
Every alarm bell in Wooyoung’s head was ringing. There was no way San was cognizant of what he was doing right now, or at least how intensely he was doing it. They’d danced together a hundred times, but San had never touched him like this. If anyone had looked at them, they’d assume they were about fuck, and that was a thought that Wooyoung had never let out of the locked safe in his brain. San had just taken a sledgehammer to that safe.

Summary
Once he pulls them on and doesn’t feel so exposed he moves to the dresser and pulls out an old t-shirt and a pair of sweatpants and by the time he has them on, Wooyoung is standing, hand on the doorknob studying Hongjoong silently. When Hongjoong finally turns to him, finally looks at him, he feels a small pang in his stomach as he realizes Wooyoung is leaving, not being asked to leave, but leaving.
And it’s what he wants. He wants him to go. Wooyoung’s hand is still resting on the doorknob as he looks at Hongjoong, like he’s waiting for him to say something before they both return back to the real world. All Hongjoong can do is motion around the room with limp hands and say, “You get it, right?”
And a small smirk finds the corner of Wooyoung’s mouth and his tone is so fucking casual, like it’s dancing on the heavy air in the bedroom as he says, “Yes Joong, I get it.”

Summary
Hongjoong’s lips turn downwards, and his eyes fall to Wooyoung’s bare feet.
He shifts, and tucks them under his legs.
Hongjoong’s eyes move to his rain-sodden tail, scraggly and wet, and Wooyoung holds back the urge to hide it away. He holds back the urge to find a pile of blankets and hide all of himself away.
He's alone, he gets it. He's barefoot and soaked to the bone from the rain, okay. But he isn't pitiful. Nothing about him should be pitied.
