Summary
Coming to Vector had been a necessary evil, a chance to sabotage the scourge of an entire continent before they could do more harm. Instead, he'd found that even in the heavily paved streets of the imperial capital, defiant flowers bloomed through cracks in the concrete.
A young spy is nearly caught while gathering intel on imperial activity; the newly promoted general he has befriended shelters him for the night.
What was originally supposed to be a fluffy, spicy romp that asked "What would happen if Locke and Celes met up before either of them had been through their worst trauma" — but this is written by somebody who loves melodrama and tragedy, so it's a little more than that, too.
