Summary
At the end of an age of myths and monsters, King Rhoam has unified the domains of Hyrule into a great kingdom. The peace is shattered when a massive man encased in armor enters the castle and offers a game to the court – one of their number may strike him, but he will return the attack when the sun sets on the longest day. Link, a knight whose talents are wasted in an era blessed by light, gladly takes the sword offered by the mysterious stranger and rises to the challenge. Months later, when he ventures forth into the verdant summer to fulfill his end of the bargain, Link begins to realize that he may never again return to Hyrule.

The beast dies on the grassy plains, leaking ichor into the dirt. It stinks powerfully of death, as though the very end of all things has been distilled down into one being that’s been left to rot in this fallow field.

Sensing Zagreus' desire for two particular men, Chaos sends him back in time. He lands in Achilles and Patroclus' bed, disguised as a mortal and dressed like a captive of war, a prize meant to honor the heroes.
He's only allowed to stay for one night, but there's a lot he can do with two men and one night.
