Katniss' friend and college Roommate Madge is friends with Finnick's family and drags Katniss' along to a birthday party for finnick. Katniss and Peeta are then introduced at the party when Peeta approaches Katniss, whilst she is sitting in the corner, visbly uncomfortable. They have an awkward interaction, Katniss being reserved, and Peeta wanted to be friendly but not knowing what to do. Finally Madge comes over giving Katniss a quick escape. She doesn’t think much of it at the time, so why cant she stop thinking about him?
