Hogwarts teaches that blood is power.
Draco Malfoy, the unwilling symbol of this ideology, has done everything that his parents, the Malfoy name, and blood supremacy demand but still, it has never won him love, nor loyalty. Hermione Granger knows the dangers within the walls of Hogwarts. She declares herself a half-blood, keeping herself safe and protected, but it comes at a cost, she is lacking friendship. Her lie rewards her with loneliness.
As rumours harden into doctrine and blood becomes a currency within the castle, Hermione and Draco know friendship between them is forbidden. Trust is a liability, but some hungers for companionship cannot be stopped by fear alone.
In a school built on tradition, two students must decide whether blood defines who they are, or merely what they are willing to become.
