Guy leans back, tries to appear relaxed as best he can. “Why do you want me to stay here?”
Jasper smirks. “Like I said. I think we could have some fun together.”
Guy stares at him, rakes his eyes over the vampire’s body. He can feel Jasper doing the same thing to him. It should make him uncomfortable, but it doesn’t. Jasper should terrify Guy, but all he does is fix him in place with his gaze, pulling him in, if anything.
“You mean, like…,” Guy trails off, hesitant to finish that sentence.
Jasper rolls his eyes. “Sex, boy,” he sighs exasperatedly, “that’s what I mean. You look like you haven’t been fucked right in a good minute.”

Guy knew he was fucked the second his mouth uttered those last shaky syllables—death, what a joke! If he were nudged off of the thin ledge of his sanity, he might’ve laughed at himself. But fear held him back. Fear drew out a thin sheen of tears over his eyes and a quivering lip. Fear paralyzed his hands and shot down any thought of fighting back against Jasper. Yes, of course it was fear. Fear was the overwhelming, dominating consensus his consciousness came up with. What bubbled underneath that gilded layer, what ordered his passive response to being thrown onto the floor, what bared his neck to a hungry, ancient vampire, he didn’t know.
