Summary
One of the cupboards stood open, the furry hindlegs of some animal desperately scrambled to get inside. Had his grandmother gotten a cat before she died?
The last thing he expected was a small fox falling out of the cupboard, pulling a heavy cookie jar with it. Maybe it was good that Felix hadn’t come with him because he didn’t know if his boyfriend could still take him seriously after the embarrassing scream he let out.
The fox scrambled up to its feet but didn’t run away as Chan would have expected from a wild animal.“Granny! You’re back! You’re back! You’re… not Granny…”
“Who’s there?” Chan called out, extremely creeped out by the whole situation.
“Are you stupid? Where are you looking? I’m right here!”
He looked in the direction where the voice came from, which was where the fox sat. But that couldn’t be. Did Chan hit his head?
When he looked towards the fox, the animal was gone and in its stead sat a little boy, around four or five years old, with fluffy red hair.
Chan stumbled backwards.“Wha- Where did you come from? Who are you?”
“I asked first!” The boy said with a pout, crossing his arms stubbornly.
