Kaveh’s lips parted in shock as he slowed to a halt, eyes wide and his expression mirrored by Al-Haitham. In a panic, Al-Haitham attempted to speak first to assuage the situation, but Kaveh quickly overtook him with a sultry smile and a roll of his hips.

Tears and snot were running off his face and making a damp, disgusting mess of the silky sheets pressed against him. Lubricant turned to crust on his skin, flaking away onto his bed. “I mean, do you ever stop and think about who your anonymous friend might be?" Tighnari says. "Or like, maybe it’s someone you already know or some random guy in one of your classes.”
“No,” Kaveh says, thinking. “With my luck, if I did know him already, then he would probably be the worst person I know. Someone like Al-Haitham.” The thought is so absurd that he stops and laughs. “But that would be fucking awful.”
In Kaveh's humble opinion, the title for The Worst Guy In The World is tied between four people: the asshole in his Tuesday eight am, the employee behind the library email account, the guy writing the university's advice column, and the student that the professor he assists always complains about.
It would only be too convenient if they were all the same person. (They are.)

“Who made you that?” Kaveh asks, not bothering to hide the vengeance in his voice. “Your work husband?”
Al-Haitham lets the fork go slack in his hands and just stares at him. “Kaveh,” he says, in the sort of tone someone might say dude.
“Don’t dude me,” Kaveh says, aghast.
Kaveh is interested in discovering who Al-Haitham's elusive work husband is. Al-Haitham is only interested in Kaveh.
