He looked at Sirius sharply, and for once, matched his grin. “Yeah.”
“Maybe that’s my excuse then,” Sirius said. “I cause a bit of chaos now, and maybe one day, it’ll turn into rock and roll.”After losing his mother at age eleven, Remus has spent the better part of the last four years bouncing from school to school or else running around London and pretending as though he wasn't the kind of well-bred boy his father brought him up to be. Now, with his chances all run out, Remus is sent to Hawkings Independent School as a last-ditch effort to clean up his act. There he meets the very people who will set up the rest of his life, and is forced to confront the pieces of himself he'd long thought had been lost.

Summary
There is something both thrilling and intimate about watching someone when they think no one is around, seeing how they behave in the vacuum of other people’s perception.
Regulus momentarily sheds his poise when he wrestles with the ancient lock, tote bags precariously balanced on his shoulders and neat curls just beginning to frizz and frazzle in the humidity. He mutters something James is too far away to hear, but it is most certainly a curse.
It’s oddly endearing.

James Potter offers to check on his best friend’s long-missing brother and gets a little too invested.

It feels like they both opened a door for him. And he has to choose which one to walk through. Which is a strange feeling to have, seeing as he is certain they both couldn’t care less about him."

Regulus decided to follow in his brothers footsteps, and become an Animagus. Now, knowing full well that he has a crush on Sirius' best friend, and a strange obsession with said best friends girlfriend, he spends his evenings in their common room, being showered with attention.

There were couples in Regulus’ life that he knew would find each other in every universe. It was impossible for them not to with how perfectly they complimented each other. Regulus was not disillusioned enough to believe he and Barty were one of those couples. He was just grateful they had found a way in this one.
