Threatening the son of a Sith Lord, especially one whose current occupation is that of “unwilling arena slave” is a VERY bad idea. And it goes about as well as one should expect.

    Summary

Seeking knowledge, power, and control of a djinn, Ventress breaks the Sith spell that has been keeping Darth Vader in stasis for centuries. Finally, she can prove to Darth Tyrannus that she doesn’t need him. She can do Grown Up Sith things, like perform blood-magic.

Maybe she should have used her own blood for the ritual, though.

    Or

Vader isn’t sure why there’s a war going on or why there’s an army of clone soldiers but he doesn’t really have anything better to do at the moment anyway, so he’ll just stick around. Besides. Fives and Rex and the rest of the 501st are kinda fun? And aggravating Master Kenobi is becoming a hobby.

    The 501st adopts a Sith.

The desert people of Tatooine had a lot of odd sayings among themselves, but there was one in particular, a metaphor they had for dealing with the curveballs of life, that Han thought perfectly encompassed their sheer will to survive another day.

"When life throws a knife at you, catch it by the blade."

    Summary

After weeks of being held captive by Jabba and forced to fight in an arena for his amusement, Luke is called before the Hutt.

Jabba reveals that he has captured not only Luke, but all of his friends as well, and he plans to collect their bounties from Vader.

Unfortunately for Jabba, he didn't read Luke's bounty very carefully. Specifically not the "unharmed" part.

Vader is royally pissed at what Jabba has done to his son. And everyone in the galaxy knows what Vader does when he's angry.

    Summary

Din Djarin, the first true Mand'alor after the genocide and subsequent scattering of his people, is reluctant to have anything to do with the Galactic Empire, but is forced into a treaty of neutrality in order to ensure their survival. More specifically, a marriage treaty- one between him and an Imperial lauded as an apprentice of the Emperor himself. He's fully prepared for a loveless marriage to a man he loathes- until, somehow, his consort-to-be goes missing on the way to Mandalore.

Meanwhile, Luke Skywalker, somewhat less dead than the Rebellion thinks after his sudden disappearance a year after destroying the Death Star, has finally escaped the clutches of the Emperor. He'll do anything to not go back.

These two instances are...not mutually exclusive.

(i.e. The one where the Emperor, thinking Luke to be more broken than he is, sends him to marry the new, unpredictable Mand'alor as an Imperial spy. Luke has other thoughts on the matter. Din, on the other hand, is thrilled to return to his bounty hunter roots to track down his wayward Empire-scum fiancé - no matter that his surprisingly competent quarry doesn't seem much like the spoiled Imperial he was expecting.)
