Summary
Three months after PittFest, Robby is still dealing with the aftermath as he continues running the ER. Langdon is back from rehab, Jack is back to day shift, and the med students are being suspiciously nosy.
As the winter holidays approach, he tries to balance running the ER while dealing with what happened to he and Jack after being on the roof together back in September. He tries to work through things in therapy but the forced proximity to Jack only fuels the spiral in his mind about what they are (and what they aren't.)

Summary
"A month and a half after the end of the world, Nate's luck runs out.
It was bound to happen sometime, he thinks, surprisingly stoically for a man with a knife at his throat. And I suppose there are worse places to die."
Weeks after the apocalypse, Nathan Ford is holed up in McRory's, hoping to ride out the end times in style, alone. It's not his fault he keeps picking up strays.

Summary
They should have gone to therapy. Instead, they went to each other.
After the PittFest disaster, Robby and Jack fall into a routine built on exhaustion, sex, and silence, anything to keep from thinking about the blood still on their hands. It was an emotionless arrangement designed purely for pleasure. At least... That was the agreed upon plan. Jack isn't good at keeping his words to himself and Robby isn't good at not letting his heart latch onto people.
