Michaela bit her lip, staring up without blinking. “You’re already uncomfortable and we haven’t even touched on the actual subject.”
We haven’t even touched. That was all that got through to the processing part of the intoxicated brain, no matter the context. “You enjoy it, though, don’t you? Making me uncomfortable?”
“You’re too fun to tease. If you were terribly desperate, however…” Michaela said, emphasising the term Francesca already regretted having spoken, though, the daring taunt didn’t appear to be the main concern at the moment. Michaela’s fingers deliberately running over her own necklace seized the attention until she opened her mouth to finish her statement. “I suppose I could make an exception and be entirely serious.
