    Max took a deep breath as he stared into Charles' eyes. They were almost hugging each other now, Charles hadn’t even noticed how they got this close. Charles was staring at him, like Max held the world and stars. And he was leaning even closer… and closer.

    Charles' lips landed on Max’s. Max froze.

    Charles was kissing him. Kissing him. Max Verstappen.

    For about thirty seconds everything felt like he was dreaming. Then Charles seemed to come back to reality and pulled away as quickly as he had started the kiss. In his eyes there was something close to panic and before Max could say anything or even move one muscle, Charles spluttered a "sorry" before he turned around and sprinted away.

    Charles choked on air as he coughed uncontrollably and Max gently patted his back.

    “what the f- you what?!” Charles cried out as his voice broke embarrassingly.

    Max softly chuckled and nodded, keeping his eyes on Charles. “yeah, it all kinda happened…well a month or two after kelly? i dunno exactly when but…i had the biggest crush on you.” Max confessed, the tips of his ears tinting pink and he swiftly won the race.

    Charles on the other hand simply stared at Max in a daze.

    “I had a crush on you too.” Charles blurted out and Max blinked at him.
