“After returning to Sumeru from his commission in Mondstadt Kaveh follows the clues left behind by the Traveler, finding the mysterious gate that is said to lead into Khaenri'ah. Together with Kaeya, Diluc, and Alhaitham, the group sets out to uncover a kingdom long forgotten, learning more about the Cavalry Captain's origins. But after meeting survivors of the Cataclysm it dawns on them that not everyone in Khaenri'ah has forgotten or forgiven the gods and their worshippers. The nation below the surface bleeds and is riddled with conflict. Caught between both sides Kaeya's loyalty is tested and he can only hope that the bonds he forged hold true.”

“I give you two choices,” Kazuha flinched as Scaramouche ran his fingers down Kazuha's hair, continuing to speak, “Either I destroy Ritou or I kill your lover."
Kazuha’s breath hitched at Scaramouche's words, his heart racing and stomach filled with disappointment. Scaramouche said he wouldn't hurt him, why did he believe that? Why was he so naive as soon as someone moderately kind was friendly to him? He wasn't that lonely. After all, he had Scorcher.
“The city.” Scorcher replied without hesitation, not even a second passing after Scaramouche finished his declaration.

Kazuha is the lucky lover of the famed hero of Ritou; Scorcher. Scorcher is charming, handsome, and has the entire city wrapped around his slender fingers. While their relationship comes with many trials, as it is hard being the lover of a hero, he still values their relationship more then anything; He has to if he wants to survive.
Everything changes the day he's taken by Scorchers enemy though, as he's left with a shattered heart, a tattered body, and a manipulated mind as he learns to heal, love, and trust again.
