Summary
“Why don’t we call a truce?”
Minho blinked, caught off-guard. “Truce?”
“Yeah. No more arguments…” you trailed off, the words already sounding hollow and you were the one saying them. “OK, maybe some academic debate. But nothing personal.”
“Nothing petty,” Minho added, giving you a pointed look.
It took an impressive amount of willpower to force your smile to stay on your face. “Exactly. We somehow managed it as kids. How hard could it be to do it again?”
(or: minho and reader have been academic rivals for nearly a decade. now they have to put aside their differences, call a truce and finally admit they're ridiculously attracted to each other.)

Summary
“No.” Your voice was stern, your eyes didn’t even look up from the plate in front of you. A healthy helping of roasted potatoes being pushed around by the metal fork in your hand.
“I am offering you a hefty sum of gold,” the man’s voice pleaded with you.
“I am well aware of the amount you offer, but you must think me mad to go anywhere near Miroh.”
“Thrice the amount, then.”
You paused.
Swallowing your mouthful of food, you placed your fork back on the table. Tonguing your cheek and shifting on your seat.
Individually, you cracked each knuckle on both hands, your mind reeling.
“Explain the job to me once more.”

Bookmarker's Notes
Genuinely one of the best stuff i’ve read on this platform. Thank you so much for writing this author, and don’t feel too pressured to update any time soon. Even if you never update again, I’ll always come back to this fic for how beautifully written it is. I wish I could give you all the kudos in the world, but my one will have to be enough for now <3
(moment for me to come back to)
It’s like you were placed on a cloud. But you immediately miss the warmth of Minho’s body.
“Minho,” you whisper his name and look at him tiredly.
He’s looking down at you with those gentle eyes again. You can’t remember a time he’s ever looked at you with such tender care before– it’s almost jarring how different it is from his normal gaze.
Gone is the cold man who wanted you hung in the gallows. Before you stands a broken man who appears as if he’s mourning and yearning at the same time.
Slowly, your hand fumbles and pushes out from underneath Jeongin’s cloak. You reach up and hold your hand out weakly.
Minho’s larger, warmer hand immediately finds yours and holds onto it tightly. His brows furrow and he hesitates for a moment before nodding in understanding.
